Walk for Life - Thursday, May 8th - We invite you to join a peaceful Walk for Life from Noon to 1pm to help raise awareness of the sanctity of life from conception to its natural end.  Meet at Stringer Park on 3rd & Elliott in Whitehorse. Fr. Jim was born in Vancouver, but his family moved to Whitehorse in the 1950s. He was ordained as a priest in Sacred Heart Cathedral in September 1973 by Bishop Hubert O’Connor. Fr. Jim served as the rector of Sacred Heart Cathedral from 1998 to 2013 and was also stationed in Watson Lake. His Funeral will take place on Monday, April 14th at 10am. In the time of Lent we ponder our sins and express to God our profound repentance of the wrong we have done. God desires to forgive us, and to reconcile ourselves to Him and His Church. We are inviting everyone to Penitential service Friday 11th at 7pm-9pm when we will have number of priests available for confessions; it is a blessed time and great chance to make peace with God!
